This is a photo I took of the sky before the storm this past Saturday…from it came these words:
golden sun ends her day,
the taste of orange sweetens the earth.
setting, not settling, until tomorrow comes again.

Getting some thoughts down on paper…research and development.
Although I decided at a young age that I was an artist, I always had a passion for science too. So throughout my education, I took as many science classes as I could (I’m just one test shy of a Secondary Science Education endorsement, although I think I need some major reviewing at this point). I find as much inspiration at the Art Institute as I do at the Museum of Science and Industry. This is where Art + Science come together for me.
A photo I took last week while looking up, on my walk back from the Art Institute.
I visited the Art Institute Of Chicago to view the Roy Lichtenstein exhibit…his works need to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. I admire the way that Lichtenstein was able to capture the essence of the artists’ he was influenced by while staying true to his own style. Now when I attempt this, I intend to attain the same integrity…keep an eye out for those Matisse/Lichtenstein/Pelka lemons.
